Experience in Child Care
ECE/ECA Certification. 5–10 years of early child care experience.
Child Care Training and Certification
Providers must complete mandatory child care training, which includes child development, safety, and health guidelines. First Aid and CPR certification
Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
A clear Vulnerable Sector Check is required for all providers to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in their care.
Home Safety Inspection by RUMO Home Visitor
Operate in a child-friendly, clean, and safe home environment. Pass inspections by RUMO Home Visitors according to Ministry of Education standards.
Licensing Requirements
Providers must meet all licensing requirements set forth by the Ministry of Education to become licensed home child care providers under RUMO.
Participation in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood care.
Commitment to High-Quality care
Providers must demonstrate a passion for early childhood care and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing, and educational environment for children.
Providers are expected to work closely with families, maintain open communication, and deliver personalized care to meet each child's unique needs.
